TurboTax Free worked fine

Used TurboTax Free Edition for my simple return. It was straightforward and didn't cost anything. Filed my taxes quickly. No issues with the process.

Great value on QuickBooks Online

I was looking for an affordable accounting solution for my small business and decided to try QuickBooks Online. I found a deal for 50% off for the first three months, which really helped my budget. The setup was fairly easy, and I linked my bank accounts without any trouble. It definitely felt like I got a lot of features for the price I paid. I'm happy with this purchase and will likely continue my subscription after the discount period ends.

Good product, delivery was slow

I bought TurboTax Deluxe this year. The software itself was fine, pretty much what I expected from Intuit, easy to navigate for my tax situation. I got a decent discount which made the purchase worthwhile. My only real complaint was the delivery for the physical software. It took almost a week to arrive after I ordered it, which felt a bit long in this day and age. Customer service was helpful when I called about the delay, but I wished it had just shipped faster to begin with. Overall, a solid product for taxes, but shipping could use some speed.

Is it possible to stack discount codes or offers on TurboTax? I have a service code and also saw something about early bird pricing.

H Hannah P. 1 week ago
Nah, usually with TurboTax you can only use one code or deal at a time. It's either the service code or the early bird, not both, unfortunately.

From my experience, stacking isn't really a thing with their tax software. You usually have to pick the better of the two deals.

I'm a student, starting my own small business. Does Intuit offer any student discounts for QuickBooks or anything?

D Danielle Martin 1 month ago
They used to, for sure. I think I got a student discount on QuickBooks Self-Employed a few years back. Worth checking their education section on the site.

Yeah, there are student discounts sometimes. You might need to verify your student status through something like UniDays or similar services. It's usually a good chunk off.

Does anyone know if Intuit gives discounts for military members on TurboTax? My brother is active duty and needs to do his taxes.

R Richard 4 days ago
Yeah, they do! I remember seeing a military discount option last tax season for TurboTax. I think you usually have to verify your service.

They offer it. I used it a couple of years ago. Check their site for the details on how to apply it, it might be through a specific portal or link.

My TurboTax service code isn't working, it just says invalid. Anyone else have this issue? It's from a pretty reputable source.

E Eric Rivera 1 week ago
Sometimes those codes are case-sensitive, or maybe it's expired? Double-check the exact code and any terms that came with it.

Could be for a specific version too. Like, a Deluxe code won't work on Premier. Make sure it matches what you're trying to buy. Or it might just be a typo somewhere.

Is there a free version of TurboTax for simple tax returns? My situation is super basic.

O Olivia Allen 2 weeks ago
Yes, there's usually a Federal Free Edition for really simple returns. If you only have W-2 income and no deductions, that usually covers it. Check their site for eligibility.

D Daniel Nguyen 2 weeks ago
Yup, the 'Federal Free Edition' is what you're looking for. Just make sure your income and deductions fit their criteria, otherwise, you'll get bumped up to a paid version.
